We were delighted to be featured in the latest issue of the Tesco magazine, which is available in larger Tesco stores. There are some great ideas on how Mums can earn money working from home, including starting your own cake business.

December Bake It! Recipe - Mincemeat Squares

Firstly, thanks to those of you who baked the recipe last month, hope you enjoyed it. I've seen quite a few tweets about people enjoying it, but there weren't many posts on the linky! The winner of the cookie cutter prize is Kim from 'Cakes from Kim' - congratulations! Please can you email me your address and I'll get the cutters sent out to you? As I'm sure you'll agree, it is an incredibly busy time of year so I'm going to do the club a bit differently this month. As I am very late posting the recipe I'm going to add the linky onto the bottom of this post, so if you have time to bake the recipe, you'll need to pop back here and add your link.

November Bake It! Club

I hope the Fudgy Chocolate Pudding recipe has gone down well this month - it certainly seems an appropriate pudding given the cold weather we are experiencing at the moment! I've seen a few yummy looking puds so far and am looking forward to seeing more. I'm trying to lose weight so looking at other people's baking is about as good as it gets for me at the moment! If you haven't baked the recipe yet this month, don't worry you've still got plenty of time to join in.

November Bake It! recipe - Fudgy Chocolate Pudding

I know, we're already 11 days into November and I've only just got round to sorting out the recipe for this month! I do apologise! Those of you who follow me on twitter will have noticed I have been working on a project, which has been keeping me very busy, and the deadline was this month. Anyway, more on that later. Firstly, well done to Nicola from Nic's Notebook who was picked at random last month to receive the prize - hope you enjoy the book! On the subject of prizes, I'd just like to put in a cheeky plea and say if you know any businesses who might like to donate a small prize for the Bake It!

October Bake It! Club

Here we are again, rapidly approaching the end of the month and it is time to see all those yummy Sticky Ginger cakes that you've been baking. I hope you enjoyed the recipe. I have seen a few blog posts and a few pictures floating around twitter, and aside from some exploding cakes(!), the feedback seems to be that the cake went down well.

Hope you all enjoyed last month's recipe - I certainly had some very positive feedback. Congratulations to Gemma from Growing My Family Tree who was the winner of the cupcake book. Look forward to seeing any cupcake ideas you try out :) Now the weather is turning cold and damp I thought I'd try out a recipe that would bring a little warmth and spice.

September Bake It! Club

It's that time of month again where we get to see your yummy creations! I hope you all enjoyed the apple crumble cupcake recipe - it's certainly become a favourite in our house and is great for using up the glut of apples at this time of year. If you haven't got round to baking the recipe yet, you've still got plenty of time - the Linky tool will be open until 8pm next Thursday, 30th Sept, when I will choose a lucky baker at random to receive a copy of the What's New, Cupcake?

September Bake It! recipe - apple crumble cupcakes

Thank you to everyone who joined in with last month's recipe - lovely to see some new faces too. All the creations looked yummy and there were some great variations involving different chocolate, apples and cinnamon. Congratulations to Sian at Pumpkin and Piglet who the random number generator picked as the winner of the lovely glass cake stand - enjoy! This month's recipe is apple crumble cupcakes, which I came up with to use up some cooking apples I have leftover. If you don't have cooking apples then I'm sure eating apples would work just as well, you may just need one extra for the recipe as cooking apples are generally bigger than eating apples.
